Report + Support Awareness
What is Report + Support? How does it work and what can be disclosed? Who can use the service? What happens when you submit a disclosure? What can the Report +Support team do for you? How can you support someone who has experienced any form of harassment?
Find out the answers to these questions and more by attending one of our Report + Support Awareness Training Sessions for students. This is your chance to meet the Report + Support Team and ask any question that you may have about the service.
The Report + Support team are available to deliver this training session both in person and online and they provide ongoing training to students with annual training being delivered to Resident Assistants, Student Ambassadors and Mentors. The team are also able to provide tailored sessions on request to meet a particular need or interest.
If you would like to have an awareness session delivered to a specific group of students or staff, please get in contact with the team.
Consent sessions
Consent is not a grey area. Consent is everyone's right and responsibility.
The Report + Support Team can deliver interactive sessions to help students understand what consent means, what it looks/sounds like (or does not), and how to apply this knowledge to different situations so that they can make the most of their time at UoG and become an informed member of our University.
These sessions are available on request and can be delivered independently or incorporated into an awareness training session.
The team are currently offering 30 minute online training sessions on the following topics:
- Consent 101: What Is Consent and Why Is It Relevant to You?
- Healthy Relationships: From One-Night Stands to Long-Term Relations
- Porn & Rough Sex: Expectations vs Reality
- Online Dating: From Sexting to In-Person Meetings
- Nights Out: How to Look After Yourself and Others
The Report + Support Team deliver the sessions by providing information and scenarios to help students understand consent and will ask them to interact with the sessions by answering questions via Mentimeter. The answers will be anonymous and at no point will anyone be asked to turn on their camera on or answer a question directly. It is advisable to attend Consent 101 before attending any other sessions.
To request any of these training sessions, please get in contact with the team.
