Females in Resilience and Empowerment (FIRE)
FIRE is for female-identifying students who have experienced trauma and adversity. The group is a safe, confidential space to share experiences, build resilience and empower each other.
Co-facilitated by Report + Support and the Counselling team, within the Student Wellbeing Service, we cover general themes including coping strategies, trust, empowerment, and setting boundaries. The group is run as a 6 week programme and students wishing to join this group can express their interest by contacting the Student Wellbeing Service. An advisor from either Report + Support or Counselling will then contact the student to confirm their eligibility and availability to attend.
Rainbow Talk
A series of Table Talk events for students within the LGBTQ+ community held across all three campuses. Facilitated by the Report + Support Team, these relaxed and friendly gatherings are a chance to connect, share, and be heard.
Whether you want to chat about your university experience, make new friends, or simply be in a space where you feel seen and supported, Rainbow Talk is for you.
Chill & Chat/The Nook
Supported by the Report + Support Team in collaboration with the Student Accommodation Team, Chill & Chat is a space for men and male identifying students to meet, chat, play games and bond, whilst discussing their experience as students at the university. These sessions are led by the Student Accommodation Team and run during the evenings. For more information on this please contact the Student Accommodation Team.
